Well, well, what's that? Come up with a smiling face. It's nothing against you to fall down flat But to lie there, that's disgrace.
The harder you're thrown, The true successes in life are those who can get "knocked on their butt" again and again and again, and keep getting back up, until they finally succeed. The one who wins the biggest battle is the one who has the guts, the persistence, the tenacity to get back up and into the fray just one more time, until they finally wear down the opposition and clear the way to victory. We all know about Abraham Lincoln's long string of failures before finally rising up out of the ashes like the legendary Phoenix to become one of the greatest U.S. Presidents of all time... Thomas Edison failed over a thousand times attempting to find the correct filament in order to invent the light bulb, but did not quit. The rest is history... and Colonel Harlan Sanders presented his idea for a fried chicken recipe to restaurateurs (also over a thousand times!) before finally succeeding in finding a taker. The number of similar examples is nearly endless. In fact, if you'll look behind any success, great or small, you'll probably find that a lot of defeat and effort preceded that victory. Often, the only difference between the winner and the loser is that the winner simply got back up -- one more time! He or she had a big enough dream, set a goal, and refused to be defeated. It is to those people that I dedicate a poem taught to me by my Dad, Mike Burg. He and I both hope the following products will serve as constant reminders to you and your loved ones that no matter how many times you get knocked down, regardless of the number of discouragements, defeats, or rejections you take, success is simply a matter of getting back up -- one more time!
