Very well said! Just this morning I was wondering why someone had removed me from their email contact and I hadn't considered it might be the way they feel not something that I have done. Thank you for this informative view point. I do believe that people do business with those they know, like and trust!

What a great message! People can almost always sense when they are being manipulated, and they will turn and run the other way from that - there's too much of that going on. It's when someone can sense that you are genuinely interested in them that you earn their trust.

It's all about building the relationship with someone first, and then letting them know that you might be able to help them with something.

Thanks!

Bob,

Great points about WWI and the win-win versus the win-lose of manipulation.

The following point is so well-written, and its underlying premise so solid, that I want to post it in my office as a reminder:
"The point is, as long as your intentions are pure, then making the other person feel good about themselves is the right course of action, both for its own sake, as well as for persuading that person to take the action you deem correct."

You definitely walk the talk on this and are a man of estimable personal development, worthy of being followed and promoted by your legions of fans and business colleagues.

Thanks for this post and for always bringing solid thought-content to the market.
